AI Credits & Billing¶
LoupeFactory uses an AI credits system to power its intelligent features — from automated production suggestions to smart inventory reordering. This page explains how credits work, what consumes them, how to top up your balance, and how to review your billing history.
Understanding the AI Credits System¶
AI credits are the currency for LoupeFactory's AI-powered features. Each time you use an AI-assisted action, a small number of credits is deducted from your organization's balance. Credits are shared across all team members in your organization.
Your current credit balance is always visible in the top navigation bar. When your balance runs low, LoupeFactory will notify you so you can purchase more before any disruption to your workflow.

Credit Tiers and Plans¶
Credits are included with your LoupeFactory subscription plan. Higher-tier plans include a larger monthly credit allocation. Unused credits from your monthly allocation do not roll over to the next billing period, but any credits you purchase separately are retained until used.

How Credits Are Consumed¶
Different AI features consume different amounts of credits depending on the complexity of the operation. The table below shows approximate credit costs for common actions.

Conserving credits
You can disable AI assistance for specific modules in Settings → AI Features if you want to reserve credits for higher-priority workflows.
Purchasing Additional Credits¶
If your balance is running low or you need extra capacity for a busy period, you can purchase additional credits at any time from the Billing page.
To purchase credits:
- Navigate to Settings → Billing.
- Click Buy Credits in the AI Credits section.
- Select a credit bundle from the available options.
- Review the total and click Confirm Purchase.
- Your credits are added to your balance immediately after payment is processed.

Available Credit Bundles¶

Payment methods
LoupeFactory accepts all major credit and debit cards. Payment details are managed securely through our billing provider. You can update your payment method at any time in Settings → Billing → Payment Methods.
Viewing Billing History¶
Your billing history shows all past subscription charges, credit purchases, and invoices. You can download invoices for your records or share them with your finance team.
To view your billing history:
- Go to Settings → Billing.
- Scroll to the Billing History section.
- Click any entry to view the full invoice details.
- Click Download PDF to save a copy of the invoice.

Understanding Your Invoice¶
Each invoice includes:
- Billing period — the date range covered by the charge
- Subscription plan — your current plan and its base cost
- Credit purchases — any top-up bundles purchased during the period
- Tax — applicable taxes based on your billing address
- Total charged — the final amount billed to your payment method

Managing Your Subscription Plan¶
To upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription plan:
- Go to Settings → Billing → Subscription.
- Click Change Plan to see available options.
- Select your desired plan and confirm the change.
Plan changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Downgrading will reduce your monthly credit allocation from that point forward.
Cancellation
Cancelling your subscription will disable AI features at the end of your current billing period. Your data remains accessible for 30 days after cancellation to allow for export.
